Knowing who we are in Christ begins with a relationship with Him, an encounter! which then compels us to mission, the “what we do” as seminarians and future priests. Not that we choose it for ourselves, but because Christ, our beloved, loves it and consequently, so do we.
If you’ve ever wondered if God the Father truly loves you, go to Scripture. It’s truly His word not only to the Israelites, but to us now. It’s His story of love for each and every one of us. I encourage you to read through Isaiah 43:1-4 and read it as if it was addressed to you personally, because it is! The first step in trusting in such a wonderful God that could truly send his Son to die for us is for us to encounter such a God and believe in him and know that we can love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
theres-always-next-year asked: I went to Creighton! I'm transferring (financial reasons) but I saw you posted a picture of St. John's! If you're from Wyoming, what were you doing in Omaha? God Bless!
Hey, that’s great! Good luck to you! I’m actually here at Creighton this summer doing a program called the Institute for Priestly Formation. It’s a 10 week summer program designed to help Catholic seminarians develop their spirituality as a diocesan priest. It’s already been awesome and I am looking forward to growing closer to God here this summer. God bless you on your journey!
